CHRISTMAS IN AUGUST

The Acteens & GA's are collectig school supplies for SBC Missionaries David & Beborah Williams in Henrietta, NY.  This campaign will continue through September 12.  A list of specific supplies can be found in the bulletin or on the special bulletin board in the church foyer.

HORSESHOE MINISTRY

Monday, August 23, 6:00 p.m.

All men are invited to play horseshoes at the church on Monday nights through the autumn months.

YOUTH FALL RETREAT

Friday - Sunday, September 3 - September 5

All youth are invited to a weekend retreat at Summit Lake Christian Conference Center in Emmittsburg, MD.  We will be leaving the church at 4:00 p.m. on Friday and will return at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday.  Please sign up on the bulletin board in the foyer.

WOMEN OF VIRTUE SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS

Sundays, 9:45 a.m.

Starting Sunday, September 5 we will be offering a new Sunday School class for women.  The class will be led by Kas Hildebrand and Carol Rook, will meet in the library, and is designed for young and middle adult women.

CHURCH PICNIC ON THE GROUNDS

Sunday, September 12, 1:00 p.m.

Come one, come all to this year's picnic.  The church will supply the hot dogs and hamburgers, you bring the side dishes.  Bring your blankets, chairs, and games for an afternoon of old fashion fun.

EMPLOYEE HANDBOOK

Wednesday, September 8, 7:00 p.m.

We will be voting on the Ministry Staff Handbook that was presented by the Personnel Committee at last month's business meeting.  If you would like to review the handbook before the vote please sign your name and email address on the sheet in the foyer.  If you do not have email and would like a paper copy please contact the church office.  All questions, comments, and/or concerns should be directed to the Personnel Committee:  Jack Whisted, Doug Whitmire, Pastor Andy Bell, Scot Griffiths, Karman Schweiger, Sharon Powell, & Robin Luber.
